COURSE DESCRIPTION
This 19th MCG/AAID Maxi-Course?ÛA Comprehensive Training Program in Implant Dentistry is presented by approximately 34 faculty members of the Medical College of Georgia and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Instructors for the course are among the countryÌs top authorities in the field of implant dentistry.
The course will provide over 360 hours of lecture, laboratory sessions, live surgical demonstrations and home/office assignments. It will be presented in 10 parts, once a month, over a 10-month period. The written portion of the AAID Associate Fellow Membership Examination will be given during the November session for those who are interested. The September session is dedicated to the enrichment of the entire dental office staff to develop the team approach to implant dentistry.
Advances in all areas of implant dentistry are occurring rapidly. Many of todayÌs implant courses cover the Ïhow-toÓ quite well but neglect the Ïwhy.Ó It is important that all practitioners, especially those starting out in implant dentistry, become knowledgeable in all areas of implantology.
This course is a must for all general dentists, periodontists, prosthodontists and oral surgeons who want to be proficient in implant dentistry and become an Associate Fellow Member of the AAID.
This course will take the implant dentist Ïback to school.Ó It will include basic science information in anatomy, microbiology and histology, all specifically geared to implant dentistry.
