Special note Session II of an 11 part series. The University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry will award a Certificate upon the successful completion of this 11 session Comprehensive Program in the Placement and Restoration of Implants.
Synopsis This four-day course will help provide the participant with a basic foundation to successfully complete implant surgery. The hands-on workshop and topics of discussion will provide participants with the fundamental clinical skills and the biologic basis for incorporation of dental implant surgery into their practice. Participants will have the opportunity to view live surgery; however, in the event of patient cancellation, the University of Toronto reserves the right to substitute surgical videos or related lecture material in place of live surgery.

* Anatomic, morphologic and bionic considerations in implant surgery
* Risk factors in implant surgery
* Live surgery demonstration
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 27 - DR. CLOKIE
* Biology of bone repair, remodeling and osseointegration
* Evolution and classification of implant design and state of the art modalities
* Basic surgical approaches including flap creation and suturing lab
* Live surgery or video demonstration
