A structure (48) that can be bonded to a dental implant (16) comprises a metallic platform (2) and ceramic attachment (50) that serves (a) for receiving a dental prosthesis, e.g. a crown, or (b) as the prosthesis itself. The new feature is that (50) is a compressed ceramic pressed directly on to (2) to form an adhesive-free, undetachable mechanical bond with (2). An Independent claim is also included for a method for producing the new structure.
