Abstract
The invention relates to a prosthetic assembly (100) comprising a pier (110) which is intended to receive a bridge or solidly-connected crowns and a pier screw (120) which is used to connect the pier (110) solidly to an implant that is implanted in the maxillary of a patient (not shown). The aforementioned pier screw (120) consists of: a body (121) which is intended to be solidly connected to the implant; and a head (122) comprising (i) an anti-rotation structure (122a) which co-operates with an anti-rotation structure at the pier so as to enable the pier to occupy different positions around the head and to enable the pier screw to move the pier during the screwing operation, and (ii) a support surface (122b) which co-operates with a support surface in the pier, such that the pier screw can block the pier at the end of the screwing operation.
