SALDENT 2005 - 19-21 May, 2005 - Poland
This yearǃÙs SALDENT dons new clothes. The programme of the show has been significantly enriched; the dates have been changed; and important manufacturers and distributors of dental equipment and materials have announced they will be coming to the event. The new idea of the show is reflected in its motto: ǃ?Modern dentistry ÇƒÏ science, practice, managementǃ?. The Polish Dentistry Association will be the sponsor of SALDENT.
SALDENT will take place on 19-21 May. For the first time, the show will not be accompanied by the SALMED medical show. The organisers have developed a completely new concept of the show. SALDENT will now be tailored to the needs of the exhibitors ÇƒÏ practicing dentists of all specialisations, dental assistants, students on the brink of their professional lives, as well as directors and purchasing managers of dental clinics and public hospitals.
THE EXHIBITORS
The show will be attended by important manufacturers, importers and distributors of:
dental and prosthetic equipment;
tools;
dental and prosthetic materials;
X-ray equipment;
dental units and furniture;
medicines and anaesthetics;
hygiene equipment and materials;
daily oral hygiene products;
software.
The visitors will be offered the opportunity of purchasing the products at the exhibitorsǃ٠stands. As usual, products new to the market will also be on display. The exhibition will take place in Pavilion 15.
7th Scientific and Training Conference SALDENT 2005
The trade fair will also include the 7th edition of the SALDENT Scientific and Training Conference. This time, its leitmotif will be ǃ?New products in dentistry around the worldǃ?. Never before have so many eminent dental experts visited Poznan. Among the specialists who will share their experiences with the participants of the conference will be Prof. Anna Komorowska (Medical University of Lublin), Dr Al Waning (Senior Technical Manager, 3M ESPE), Prof. Ronald Kaminishi (University of California), Prof. John Nicholson (University of Greenwich), Prof. Abdel Rahim Mohammad (University of Ohio), and Dr Bill Allen (University of Birmingham). They will discuss various topics in such areas as orthodontics, conservative dentistry, and geriatric dentistry. Other topics will include Polish dentistsǃ٠experiences in the European Union, as well as dentistsǃ٠legal responsibilities. Participants of the two-day conference will earn as many as 20 education hours. Prof. Honorata Limanowska-Shaw will chair the Scientific Committee.
3rd Implantology Forum OSTEOPLANT
The drive towards a continuous improvement of dental implant treatment by making it shorter and simpler has become a serious challenge for medical practice, with no room for risk and experimentation. The Osteoplant Implantology Forum is a meeting created by dentists for dentists with a view to disseminating the clinical experiences of distinguished implantology experts. Specialists who have already confirmed their participation include Prof. Jerzy Sokalski (Poznan University of Medical Sciences), Prof. Ryszard Koczorowski (Poznan University of Medical Sciences), Dr Josef Podstata (Prague), Dr Myron Uhryn (Lvov), Dr Stanislaw Grajewski (Poznan University of Medical Sciences), Dr Pawel Bialozyk, (Collegium Medicum, Bydgoszcz), Dr Konrad Gebski, (Poznan University of Medical Sciences), Dr Piotr Niwinski (Collegium Medicum, Bydgoszcz), Dr Grzegorz Kotkowski (Hannover), Dr Patryk Szubert (Poznan University of Medical Sciences) and Dr Jacek Kukula (Poznan University of Medical Sciences).
ǃ?Live linksǃ? will be a novelty at this yearǃÙs Forum. The participants of the meeting will be offered the opportunity of observing two implantation procedures using Osteoplant implants, which will be conducted by Prof. Jerzy Sokalski, Dr Stanislaw Sokalski and Dr Konrad Gebski. One of the procedures will be an immediate implantation.
Participants of the Forum will earn 8 education hours. The Polish Association of Dental Implantology will be the scientific sponsor of the event.
