Royal College of Dentists of Canada
Royal College of Dentists of Canada
The Royal College of Dentists of Canada was established by an Act of the Federal Government of Canada in 1965 to promote high standards of specialization in the dental profession and to recognize properly trained dental specialists. This is accomplished through examinations created specifically for each dental specialty. Successful completion of the RCDC specialty examination may lead to Fellowship in the College and the use of the designation FRCD(C).
The examinations of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada are used by many provincial dental regulatory authorities as part of the requirement for licensure as a specialist and are known as the National Dental Specialty Examination (NDSE). Those seeking licensure as a dental specialist should obtain information from the dental regulatory authority in the province in which they intend to practice.
