The pre-implant is used for an intraosseal dental implant that is to be implanted at a later time. Said pre-implant comprises a longitudinal axis (5), a front part (1), which is appointed for implanting in the bone and which has an external threading (2), and comprises a rear part (3) for manipulating the pre-implant. The maximum diameter (6) of the pre-implant is less than 2.9 mm. The conditioning of the bone bed effected by the pre-implant increases the probability of success for the quick osseointegration of the permanent implant following the pre-implant to above 99 %.
