The development of Osteofix implants is based on the best qualities of the current implants.
Description of the Osteofix dental implant system:
Implant material is commercially pure titanium ASTM Gr III. Every material part is documented and tested.
Design of the implant is a self tapping screw with diameters of 3,8mm or 4,2mm and lengths of 8, 10, 12 and 14 mm. Other sizes of implants are planned.
The manufacturing process of the implant is computer controlled with accuracy of 0,005mm
The surface of the implant is high polished in the gingival part and roughened with special technique between the threads leaving the thread ends smooth and sharp for atraumatic cutting.
The final surface preparation of the implants takes place in clean space room without contamination of air pollution or other foreign materials.
The medical factory Medipolar ltd. Oulu, takes care of the packing and sterilization process of the implants. The implants are delivered in double sterilized glass bottles with color coded caps indicating different lengths of the implants.
- The implant tools including specific burs, depth gauge, ratchet and insertion part for the implants, titanium forceps and guiding pins are stored logically in the sterilization box.
- The prosthetic kit includes a complete range of components which allow flexibility for construction of superstructures. There are solid straight and angulaited abutments for cemented crowns and bridges as well as screw-fixt system for removable bridges and arch bars. The prefabricated burn-out plastic parts allow practical use of different casting metals.
