Who is the ODN & AA?
We are the certifying body and membership association representing
Dental Assistants and Dental Receptionists in Ontario. We have over 7000 members who have voluntarily elected to become members in order to take advantage of our certification process, continuing education programs, publications, membership in other associations, local affiliate meetings, and province-wide seminars.
Dental Assistants in Ontario are not yet recognized as ǃ?Regulated Health Professionalsǃ?, and ODN & AA is working with the Ontario Government to have regulation become a requirement for all dental auxiliaries.
We believe that regulation is the best way to protect the public with regard to infection control issues, and the best way to ensure that all people working in a dental office are trained, licensed, and committed to their profession.
