The Medilink Yorkshire and Humber Healthcare Business Awards featured winners including Medical House, the Sheffield firm which has developed a needle-free drug delivery system, which amongst other applications, allows diabetics to avoid using needles to administer insulin.
The awards ceremony was held at the Magna Centre in South Yorkshire and was supported by the Yorkshire Post.
Medical House won the innovation award for its innovative drug delivery systems and also scooped the overall winner award, which was presented to the company's chairman Ian Townsend.
Other winners included Batley-based Park House Healthcare which won the export achievement award for its specialist pressure relieving and pressure reducing equipment.
The best new business was NEOSS of Harrogate which has developed a dental implant system for the replacement of missing teeth.
The winner of the customer services award was Jenx, the Sheffield-based company which produces innovative therapeutic furniture for children with special needs.
