The accurate transfer of the position of implants to the definitive cast involves clinical and laboratory techniques.1-5 However, making a correct interocclusal record may be challenging in certain clinical situations. The correct maxillomandibular relation is critical for proper design of a prosthesis and for providing an accurate occlusion.6 The interocclusal record is usually made after placement of the appropriate cover screws such that the recording medium can not fit properly on top of the implant or edentulous ridge,7 and in many situations record bases may be required.6,8,9 This article describes a method for interocclusal registration with the impression copings for a fixed implant-supported prosthesis. Although this technique is presented using 1 implant system, the technique may be modified and used with other implant systems, when there are definitive occlusal contacts between opposing teeth.
