The American Association for Dental Research (AADR) is the largest Division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). The organizations are served by the same staff but keep separate financial records and share ownership of a building in Alexandria, Virginia.
The International Association for Dental Research was established in 1920 and has over 11, 000 active individual members worldwide. The IADR's mission as a non-profit organization is three-pronged: It works to advance research and increase knowledge for the improvement of oral health by promoting oral research. IADR supports and represents the oral health community by facilitating professional development within the oral health research community and providing member services. Finally, IADR strives to facilitate the communication and application of research findings.
The American Association for Dental Research (the US Division of the International Association for Dental Research) is a non-profit organization with over 5,000 individual members and 100 institutional members within the US.
