Michael Tischler, DDS, FAGD, offers attendees of this one-day/ in-office course, the science, philosophy and practical instruction needed to bring extraction site grafting and implant dentistry to general dental practice. The course is curtailed for both the general practioner without any previous experience and for the dental practitioner with advanced skills, interested in a review of the latest science, techniques and materials. Both simple and advanced extraction site grafting and implant cases and techniques are reviewed. Principles are tied in with multiple case presentations. The hands on segment allows for one on one instruction of sutering, placing graft material, and membrane placement. Extensive hand outs are given and in-office forms are shared with attendees.
Lack of knowledge pertaining to the different aspects needed to successfully perform extraction site grafting and implant placement and restoration, is the most common stated reason practioners do not offer these treatment modalities in their practices.
