The company Bernhard Fàrster GmbH was founded by the entrepreneur Bernhard Fàrster in Pforzheim Germany in 1907. The roots of the company are in the jewellery- and watch indurstry.
In 1974 Rolf Fàrster, a grandson of the company's founder, initiated to move the focus of the company's activities from the traditional watch manufacture of orthodontic products under the brand name FORESTADENT. This change was based on knowledge gained during the long history of the company. Since then an ever-growing number of miniature parts for fixed and removable orthodontic appliances have been developed, produced and distributed all over the world.
