Course Description:
The use of dental implants in the previous two decades has created many new and exciting possibilities in the prosthetic treatment of our patients. Restoring form and function with dental implants has become a routine procedure in many dental practices. Treatment may vary from the replacement of a single tooth to the reconstruction of a totally edentulous mouth.
This course will explore many of the important parameters and challenges of creating esthetic and functional restorations supported by dental implants. The clinical material will cover each of the categories listed below as well as providing supporting clinical evidence covering a span of the last 10 years.
Single tooth restorations - anterior and posterior
Partial edentulous restorations - anterior and posterior
Overdenture restorations - complete and partial
Full edentulous fixed restorations - maxillary and mandibular

Course Objectives:
After the completion of this course participants will learn:
To understand relevant parameters in choosing an appropriate implant system
How to treatment plan for dental implants in each of the listed categories
How to sequence restorative and surgical phases of treatment including provisionalization
How to communicate restorative design to the dental laboratory
Continuing care of implant restorations and problem solving
