Dyna Dental - Dyna Octalock¨? implant
Introduction
The innovative Dyna Octalock¨? implant is an extension of the world-wide known Dyna Implant System. During the 15 years of experience a unique implant philosophy has been developed. Because of its clinical success the external implant design has hardly been changed. The screw shape is lengthened and the neck is also available with a 1mm machined-polished collar. The new Octalock¨? connection has been designed to provide a reliable system for crown and bridge works. The internal octagon and its slightly tapered walls assure a reliable, trouble-free transfer procedure and give the possibility to individualize the suprastructure directly at implant level. In combination with the fixation screw a press fit connection is created and antirotation of the abutments is assured. Two implant diameters (3.6 and 4.0mm) are the basis for universal application of both fixed and removable prostheses. The available lengths (8, 10, 11.5, 13 and 15mm) meet all clinical requirements. One fits all abutments can be placed interchangeably on both implant diameters whereas the fixation screw is available only with just one universal fixation screw.
