Course Overview
This 1 ¨? - day course, worth 12 CE credits, is designed specifically for General Practitioners who want to expand their knowledge of implant dentistry. The program features a hands-on surgical workshop, along with treatment planning and LIVE surgical training while offering additional instruction on fee setting, reimbursement and operative reports. Basic suturing techniques will be reviewed, with advanced suturing techniques demonstrated and hands-on techniques practiced on pig ears. Clinicians will learn which cases are ideal for dental implants, how to perform implant surgeries with confidence and how to ultimately profit from them! A special segment will be offered to staff members, featuring a hands-on insurance billing workshop utilizing CDT-3, ICD-9 and CPT codes. A step-by-step workbook will be provided, along with tips and other ǃ?pearls of the trade.ǃ? Because the course offers LIVE surgical training, attendance is limited.
Course Agenda
Day One
Lecture: Treatment planning & case design; surgical techniques and rationale; bone grafting and membrane barrier options; preoperative reports and records; intraoral photography and rationale
Live Surgery: Immediate implant placement in extraction site; surgical placement of implants in maxilla and mandible; bone grafting and membrane barrier placement; suturing for implants
Live Surgery: First stage implant placement; simplified procedures for predictability; second stage surgical uncovering of implants
Advanced Suturing Techniques: Basic technique review and advanced technique demonstration; participant suture practice session using pig ears

Break-out Sessions:
Dentists - Hands-on surgical and prosthetic workshop with mandibles; review of prosthetic components for implant restoration
