Abstract
The implant comprises a single crown and root unit comprising intra-osseous anchoring (A), trans-gingival (B) and intra-oral (C) sections, with the latter acting as a support for a prosthetic tooth. At the base of the intra-oral section it has a cup-shaped, or dome-shaped collar (G), and the collar or trans-gingival section has a surface (I) shaped to receive an instrument used to manipulate the implant and screw it into the jawbone. The prosthetic tooth is attached to the intra-oral section of the implant by screwing, gluing or cementing.
