The Continuing Dental Education Program at the University of Minnesota provides a broad range of learning experiences that are: 1) nationally recognized, 2) evidence based, 3) unbiased, 4) up to date, 5) practical, and 6) learner centered. The programs are intended to help practitioners accquire new information and skills and to apply appropriate changes in practice. The programs are open to general dentists, dental specialists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and dental laboratory technicians worldwide and include:
Lecture and Participation Courses These educational experiences include one-day lecture programs, hands-on courses as well as multi-day clinical programs.
Independent Study Courses Nineteen self-instructional courses are available for continuing education credit.
Courses Eligible for Core Competency Credit. The courses listed meet the Minnesota Board of Dentistry core competency credit requirements.
