Course Description:
The introduction of osseointegrated implants to North American Dentistry revolutionized the treatment of totally edentulous patients. As innovative treatment options have become apparent, there has been a concomitant renewed interest in the principle of complete denture prosthodontics, especially with regard to the application of these principles to implant-supported overdentures.
This E-Learning Course will review the theory and practice of complete denture treatment in an interactive way and gives the participant the opportunity to apply what they have learned into their practice.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this Online Program, participants will be able to:
Implement diagnosis and treatment planning for edentulous patients
Understand the anatomy and physiology of the totally edentulous mouth
Make complete denture impressions and occlusions
Plan implant-supported overdentures and methods of attachment
Analyze insertion and post-insertion care
Identify common causes of failure, problems, and errors
This course is recommended for General Dentists and Specialists.
