Dental implants were revolutionized in the United States with the introduction of the Branemark Implant. The continuous evolution of implant rehabilitation has addressed not only the final esthetics but also the time delay of implant function due to osseointegration.
Today, dental science can offer patients non-removable temporary teeth immediately at the time of implant surgery that stay in place until the titanium implant fuses to the bone.
This course is designed to briefly review the concepts of implant dentistry and build upon these concepts to bring the participants into the 21st century of Implantology. The latest information, research and techniques will be presented to enable both generalists and specialists to incorporate this procedure into their clinical practices.
Topics and Objectives:
Through illustrated lecture and discussion, participants will gain a greater understanding of:
* Treatment planning for long term success.
* Evaluation of the latest diagnostic imaging.
* Critical implant evaluation.
* Soft and hard tissue management.
* Immediately provisionalized implant techniques.
* Case selection.
* Controversial issues in immediate load implants.
