Australian Dental Industry Association, Inc
Australian Dental Industry Association, Inc
The Association was formed in 1925 as the Australian Dental Trade Association as a professional body representing members' companies and to be the voice for the dental industry in Australia. The name was changed to the Australian Dental Industry Association Inc. (ADIA) in 1986 and has branches in all States.
Membership is voluntary and is open to companies who import/export, manufacture and/or supply dental products and services, and who agree to uphold the Constitution and the ADIA Code of Practice. Approximately 90% of dental companies are members.
The Association liaises with Government departments, particularly the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), allied organisations such as the Australian Dental Association both Federal and State, Regulatory Authorities, Standards Associations and International Dental Trade Associations and are members of the Federation Dentaire Internationale (FDI) and the International Dental Manufacturers (IDM). It also supports initiatives to promote public oral health by contributing to the research of the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF).
Other objectives include developing policy, organising Exhibitions, Conferences and Educational Training Courses for the development of membership staff plus holding a triennial Conference for members to meet and discuss matters of mutual interest and concern.
The Australian Dental Industry Association is proud to be a member of the international health care industry and is committed to keep pace with the ever increasing growth and demand of the industry.
