A device for performing dental implants is described, which permits to carry out a simplified protocol whereby to simplify the operations required and to reduce the pain to the patient. The device comprises a body and an abutment that constitute a single piece, the body having an external screw and a self-tapping distal end and the abutment having an internally threaded, axial cavity and a proximate portion that is so shaped that it may be turned to screw the device into the bone. A handle is further provided for engaging and rotating the abutment. In performing the implant, the device is screwed into the bone until only the abutment protrudes, and then the prosthesis may be applied. Analogs are also provided to facilitate the operations of the technicians.
