Who We Are
Founded in 1925, the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) is the national industry body representing the interests of the dental trade and service sectors in Australia. A professional association devoted to the development of dentistry for the benefit of our members, the industry and wider community as a whole, we are acknowledged by government, public and private sectors both nationally and internationally.
We promote the development and growth of dental excellence through:
Creating the framework that unites an active and diverse industry.
Providing a medium for the exchange and support of views relating to the progression of the industry.
Managing and promoting national exhibitions for the industry as a whole.
Organising and hosting networking events and discussions with key industry figures.
Representing the interests of our members to government bodies and circulating industry statistics.
Encouraging the development of high quality scientific equipment, appliances and materials.
Statistical information, highlighting dental market statistics and trends.
The ADIA membership represents the full spectrum of the dental trade and service industry in Australia. Membership to the ADIA is voluntary with an estimated 90% of sales of dental products and services to the profession and dental laboratories being from members companies.
The ADIA represents the interests of members on many bodies such as the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the Australian Dental Association committees, Regulatory Authorities, Standards Associations and International Dental Trade Associationsi. The ADIA is a member of the Federation Dentaire Internationale (FDI) and the International Dental Manufacturers (IDM). We also support initiatives to promote public oral health by contributing to the research of the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF).
The Australian Dental Industry Association is proud to be a member of the international health care industry and is committed to continually evolving in order to provide the latest interactive information that will enhance the development of its members, the industry and wider community.
