2005 AAP Annual Meeting - September 24 ÇƒÏ 27, 2005 - Denver, Colorado

The Academy's 91st Annual Meeting will be held in Denver, Colorado, from September 24 ÇƒÏ 27. Abstracts will be accepted until March 28 from those who wish to make presentations in the Oral or Poster Research Forums or the Orban Competition.
Research Forums
If you have some new and interesting material to share with colleagues, consider submitting an abstract to the Oral or Poster Research Forum. There will be an oral session on Sunday, September 25. Each of the 12 speakers will present for 10 minutes, followed by a five-minute question and answer period. Posters will be set up on Saturday, September 24, and authors are to be present for two hours on Monday, September 26, to discuss their research. Members and non-members alike are welcome to submit an abstract for consideration for either session.
Balint Orban Memorial Competition
This section of the program is open to periodontal residents enrolled in accredited programs in the United States and Canada as well as graduates who completed training no more than 18 months before the meeting. Eight finalists (four in clinical research and four in basic research) will be selected to make 15-minute oral presentations, followed by a five-minute question and answer session. Finalists will receive roundtrip airfare and one nightÇƒÙs stay, courtesy of Pfizer, Inc., which supports this event. The two winners receive a cash award and certificate of recognition.
To Submit an Abstract
This year all abstracts for both the Orban Competition and the Research Forums should be submitted through the AcademyÇƒÙs new online abstract manager program. As soon as the program is available, you'll find a link to it on this page. All submitted materials will be reviewed and scored by the Subcommittee on Research Submissions.
Deadline
All abstracts must be submitted by March 28.

Abstract submission has already closed for this year's Innovations in Periodontics sessions.
